DoodleBug Designs: I ❤️ Travel – Mini Album

Hi Crafty Friends!

I finally made my first mini album! YAY! 😁 I love mini albums and have been watching TONS of YouTube videos to learn how to make one. Then, the other day I was in my local scrapbook store and I found the new Doodlebug Designs: I ❤️Travel paper collection. It is so cute! I thought the paper would be perfect for a mini album.

I decided to followed one of Rosa Kelly’s Scrapbooking tutorials, here is the exact one I followed. She is a great teacher. I really learned a lot and I think it turned out great.

Graduation Exploding Gift Card Holder

Hey Crafty Friends!

I am having a very busy graduation session this year! I have 3 nieces that are graduating! I’m such a proud Auntie. 🥰 The first graduation we attended was at the University of Minnesota. Can I just tell you that it was raining so bad, I was actually ready to come back to Detroit!

We had a wonderful time watching her graduate. So it was worth it!

I found this great tutorial video to make a graduation exploding box gift card holder. It was really fun and easy to make. You do not need a cutting machine, but if you have a scoreboard it would be helpful. I also used an embossing folder I picked up at Joann’s. Here is the link to Mixed Up Craft video tutorial on the box.

Create Easy Easter Projects with your Cricut

Hey Crafty Friends!

Lately, I have seen so much Easter project inspiration on Instagram! There are so many cute 3D paper projects popping up on my timeline. You can make anything from gift boxes, treat bags or even an adorable purse! Now you can create these cute projects from SVG files on your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machines.

With so many options, I am currently obsessed with making anything that is 3D. The Silhouette Design Store has soooooo many designs to choose from. Even if you do not own a Silhouette machine, you can purchase the svg file in the Silhouette Design Store and bring it into Cricut Design Space to cut using your Cricut machine. I picked a couple of designs, imported them in CDS and had so much fun.

I found this super cute bunny basket, here. The Design ID is 121694. How cute did this come out?!? I absolutely love it! I was able to fit 6 peeps in here.

The next project was this Egg Favor bag. The file is from Lori Whitlock and you can purchase it on her site, here or from the Silhouette Design Store. The Design ID at the Silhouette Design Store is 190117. (Sorry I am unable to link directly to the design). This bag is perfect for loading up with candy or cute embellishments to send in happy mail. It was super quick to put together and you can make them in every color.

DIY St. Patrick’s Day Banner

Hey Crafty Friends!

Well, Valentine’s day is over and all the stores have Spring/Easter stuff out, but here in Michigan we currently have 50 mph winds and snow, so I’m feeling real “springy”. So, why not make some cute St. Patty’s Day crafts. I have been on a banner kick lately, so this is what I came up with.

I found these cute little guys in Cricut Design Space and made a quick banner.

Here are the details of the design:

  • Leprechaun is from the Simply Charmed cartridge which is included in the Cricut Access Subscription.
  • LUCKY is a Cricut Font called Base Camp it is NOT included in the Cricut Access Subscription.
  • The Banner shape is from the Bits and Pieces cartridge and is included in the Cricut Access Subscription.

I liked how he came out. Here is the project share video:
